There are a few things that should be done before releasing this, including:
- Implement missing features:
- GUIs. The only problem remaining is that child windows (such as dropdowns)
don't appear anchored to the reparented editor and will still appear in the
top left corner of the screen.
- GUIs. Wine's XEmbed implementation is causing X11 draw calls to fail so
there's probably something right. Right now GUIs do work if you disable the
XEmbed messages or skip reparenting altogether, but that's of course not
ideal.
- Fix implementation bugs:
- KiloHearts plugins fail during initialization.
- Serum (and probably other plugins too) can't process midi events while dialogs
are open.
- Serum crashes when closing bitwig (but otherwise exits just fine).
- Serum crashes if you keep playing midi notes while the GUI is blocked.
Related to the above, and probably because of the current limit of 512 midi
events.
- Melda plugins crash when opening their GUI.
- Add missing details if any to the architecture section.
- Document what this has been tested on and what does or does not work.
- Document wine32 support.
